THE INSTITUT CATALÀ DEL PEU IS INTERVIEWED BY THE BARCELONAUTES TELEVISION.

Our fellow team members, Naomi Ballesteros (podiatrist) and Julia Muñoz (biomechanics woman), are interviewed in our private hospital to talk about our services. Barcelonautes was born in 2008, 25 TV decides to broadcast a new information and entertainment program like a kind of reports. It was planned to be a program which could approach the citizens from Barcelona small bits of information. Nowadays, Barcelonautes is a television program which comes out every day to the street in order to carry out reports of all this ludic, cultural, social and business offer from the Barcelonès. Alicia G. Escribano, with a fresh and close touch, who is the manager and presenter of the slot of reports, came to our private hospital to carry out an interview to two of our fellow team members about our services and the topicality of our plans. Our fellow team member, the podiatrist Naomí Ballesteros, talked about all health specialities which take part in the care of foot: prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all kind of pathologies; through the use of the most avant-garde technologies and always from a comprehensive perspective. She emphasized the values of the Institut Català del Peu which the most important ones are to put the patient in the center of our decisions, the research as an engine and the training, responsibility, and commitment with society. In any case, Julia Muñoz, specialist biomechanics woman and responsible for the Department of Sporting Biomechanics of the Institut Català del Peu, called Fitmetric, talked about the Vicon technology (the best biomechanical technology for the 3D capture of the human movement) which we use in the private hospital and also the services addressed to clubs and sportsmen/sportswomen with the aim of considering the performance and also preventing lesions associated with the sporting gesture. Among these services stand out: bike fitting, biomechanical study of the race technique, functional biomechanical assessments, studies of sporting footwear, 3D biomechanical studies for tennis players and triathletes. Our fellow team member stood out, furthermore, the importance of working as a team and the multidisciplinarity as the key of success, because Fitmetric is made up by biomechanical specialists, engineers specializing in the capture of the 3D movement and sporting podiatrists. She finished standing out the collaboration, the involvement, the commitment, the creativity, the innovation and working as a team as the keys for the success which nowadays have the services and plans of the Institut Català del Peu.
